Animal friendly
More and more designers are choosing not to use animal skins in their collections. Stella McCartney has turned her vegetarian principles into a mantra for her design, creating only animal friendly, skin-free and fur-free collections.
High profile anti-fur campaigns have raised awareness of animal cruelty but fur is not the only issue; several shoe designers are now creating ranges that do not use any animal products and although this is not generally classed as part of the ethical fashion movement, it is certainly an issue you might want to consider.
